XPENG Opens Australian Orders for New G6 Ultra Smart Coupe SUV

Set to hit local dealer showrooms across Australia during July 2026, the updated vehicle line-up expands to four variants and introduces highly advanced charging capabilities alongside a comprehensive factory-backed warranty programme.

Built on a cutting-edge 800V high-voltage Silicon Carbide architecture, the New G6 brings sharper exterior styling, enhanced cabin features, and ultra-fast charging to the highly competitive Australian mid-size electric SUV market.

Powertrain, Battery, and 5C Ultra-Fast Charging

The standout technical milestone for the New G6 is the standard integration of 5C ultra-fast charging across the entire line-up. Under test conditions, the vehicle can replenish its battery from 10% to 80% in as little as 12 minutes, with the Long Range variant capable of drawing a peak DC charging power of up to 451kW.

The vehicle also features an efficient energy consumption rating starting from 16.6 kWh/100km and supports a powerful 6kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capacity, allowing owners to power external equipment directly from the traction battery.
