2027 LDV D90 Price and Specs: New 2.5L Diesel Returns Alongside Luxe Flagship

LDV Australia has reintroduced diesel power to its D90 seven-seat SUV range for the 2027 model year, bringing the powertrain back after a nearly two-year hiatus. The updated lineup also debuts a new premium flagship grade, the Luxe, positioning the body-on-frame SUV to better compete against dominant segment leaders like the Ford Everest, Toyota Prado, and Isuzu MU-X, as well as newer alternatives like the GWM Tank 500.

The primary mechanical upgrade is the introduction of a 2.5-litre single-turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine, which is shared with the new LDV Terron 9 and updated T60 utes. Producing up to 164kW of power and 520Nm of torque, this engine replaces the 160kW/480Nm 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel last offered in 2024. Mated to an eight-speed torque-converter automatic transmission, the new powertrain improves the D90's combined fuel consumption to 8.1L/100km and increases its maximum braked towing capacity to 3500kg—up from the previous 3100kg limit.
