2027 MINI Paul Smith Edition Range Expands: Petrol and Convertible Models Join the Line-Up

MINI Australia is expanding its bespoke Paul Smith Edition portfolio, adding three new petrol-powered body styles to sit alongside the existing electric Cooper SE. Following the local arrival of the electric variant in April 2026—which has since recorded a solid 161 sales—the 2027 line-up will grow to include the Cooper S 3-door, Cooper S 5-door, and Cooper S Convertible from the fourth quarter of 2026.

Design, Materials, and Bespoke Equipment

Rather than introducing mechanical or powertrain alterations, the Paul Smith Edition focuses entirely on aesthetic, material, and trim upgrades designed to offer a unique visual identity.

Buyers can select from three exterior paint finishes: Inspired White, Statement Grey, and Midnight Black II. Each colour is paired with exclusive 'Nottingham Green' exterior accenting and bespoke black-and-blue MINI badging.

Inside, the cabin shifts toward sustainable luxury, featuring Nightshade Blue 'Vescin' vegan leather and knitted cloth combination seats, contrasted by a dashboard and door cards constructed entirely from recycled polyester. The sports steering wheel incorporates a unique Paul Smith strap design and blue contrast stitching, while dark steel inlays, specialized door sills, and Paul Smith-branded puddle lights complete the interior package.

All variants are available to order now, with the expanded petrol models arriving in Australian showrooms in Q4 2026. Prices exclude on-road costs and dealer delivery charges.

(Note: The Paul Smith Edition carries a $2,000 premium over the standard Favoured specification for each respective model. The petrol-powered Cooper S 3-door sits $5,500 below the battery-electric Cooper SE equivalent.)
