Earlier this year, Cadillac repositioned the standard Lyriq Sport down to $90,000 before on-road costs—a reduction of more than 27 per cent from its previous $124,000 sticker price—while dropping the Luxury trim entirely. At $99,000, the Lyriq-V commands a $9,000 premium over the Sport, landing within striking distance of the smaller Tesla Model Y Performance ($89,400 plus ORCs) and significantly undercutting large dual-motor competitors like the Polestar 3 Dual Motor ($131,100 plus ORCs).

The Lyriq-V adopts an uprated dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain generating 459kW of power and 880Nm of torque. DC Fast-Charging Rate Reduction: The Lyriq-V utilises an updated 92kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery pack, but peak DC fast-charging is capped at 130kW—a notable drop from the 190kW charging speed featured on earlier 2025 Lyriq models. By comparison, segment alternatives support rates up to 250kW. Cadillac claims 10 minutes on a fast charger adds 107km of lab-tested range. AC destination charging remains rated at 22kW.
Efficiency and Usable Range: Due to the added performance output and wider 22-inch rolling stock, official energy consumption rises from 20.2kWh/100km in the Sport to 21.6kWh/100km in the V. Consequently, lab-tested WLTP driving range decreases from 503km down to 471km. In real-world Australian highway conditions, realistic touring range will sit closer to the 400km mark.
