The 2027 Audi Q4 comes with numberous upgrades but the headline price drops are the result of a significant powertrain restructuring at the entry level.

Audi Australia has aggressively repositioned its 2027 Q4 e-tron lineup, confirming sweeping price reductions of up to $18,000 to increase its competitiveness against luxury electric SUV rivals and take advantage of federal EV incentives.

Available to order now ahead of first showroom deliveries in the first half of 2027, the updated range brings faster DC charging capabilities, standard 360-degree cameras, and the introduction of a new optional passenger-side entertainment screen.

The Entry-Level Trade-Off: Q4 e-tron 150kW

The cost of entry for the Q4 e-tron has plummeted by $13,000, now starting at $71,650 before on-road costs for both the traditional SUV and coupe-styled Sportback variants.

To achieve this sharp pricing, Audi has replaced the previous '45 e-tron' range-opener (which utilized an 82kWh battery and 210kW motor) with the new '150kW' specification. This new base model utilizes a smaller 63kWh battery (59kWh usable) and a single rear-mounted electric motor producing 150kW of power and 350Nm of torque.

While Audi Australia has not yet confirmed the official local driving range for this smaller battery, European WLTP testing rates the 150kW variant at between 391km and 451km depending on specification. The 63kWh battery supports DC fast-charging up to 160kW, which Audi claims will replenish the pack from 10 to 80 per cent in 27 minutes.

Despite the mechanical downgrade, standard equipment is extensive. The 150kW models feature 19-inch aero alloy wheels, Matrix LED headlights with digital DRLs, a 12.8-inch MMI touchscreen, an 11.9-inch Virtual Cockpit digital instrument cluster, heated and power-adjustable leather-appointed front seats, and dual cooled wireless phone chargers.

The Value Sweet Spot: Q4 e-tron quattro

Stepping up to the dual-motor all-wheel-drive quattro variants represents the most significant value shift in the updated range. Priced from $81,650 before on-roads, the new quattro models are up to $18,000 cheaper than their direct predecessors while simultaneously offering improved driving range.

The quattro variants retain the larger 82kWh battery (77kWh usable), powering front and rear electric motors for a combined system output of 250kW and 545Nm of torque (134Nm front / 545Nm rear). This enables a 0-100km/h sprint of 5.4 seconds.

Driving range is officially rated on the WLTP cycle at 494km for the SUV and 509km for the more aerodynamic Sportback. Peak DC charging capacity has been bumped from 175kW to 185kW, allowing the larger battery to match the base model's 27-minute 10-80 per cent charge time. Automatic and manual battery preconditioning for optimal charging efficiency is also included.

Quattro models gain performance-focused hardware and styling, including:

  • Progressive steering and adaptive suspension damping.
  • An S line exterior styling package with body-coloured Singleframe grille and black mask.
  • 20-inch Audi Sport 5-arm aero alloy wheels.
  • S line interior with leather sport seats, black headliner, and stainless steel pedals.
  • An augmented reality (AR) head-up display and Audi drive select.

Cabin Technology and Safety

Across the board, the 2027 Q4 e-tron range benefits from enhanced digital connectivity. The full suite of Audi connect plus services is now standard, unlocking remote control functions and live navigation data.

A highly anticipated option introduced for the MY27 update is a 12-inch passenger-side display. Seamlessly integrated into the dashboard, it provides the front passenger with dedicated access to media, navigation, and entertainment. To comply with safety regulations, the screen features a directional masking function that obscures it from the driver's line of sight while the vehicle is in motion.

Standard safety features across all models include adaptive cruise assist plus, autonomous emergency braking (AEB), blind-spot assist, exit warning, and front/rear cross-traffic assist. A 360-degree camera with 3D view is now standard, accompanied by a trained parking and reverse assist system capable of automatically steering the vehicle backwards for the final 50 metres in tight spaces.

2027 Audi Q4 e-tron Australian Pricing

The updated range is covered by Audi's five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty, alongside a 12-year bodywork corrosion warranty. As an early-adopter incentive, customers who place an order for a quattro variant before the end of 2026 will receive a complimentary six-year/90,000km scheduled service plan.
