2027 XPeng L03 Price and Specs: New Mid-Size EV and Range-Extender Detailed for Australia

XPeng Australia has detailed local pricing and specifications for the 2027 XPeng L03, introducing both pure battery-electric (BEV) and range-extended electric vehicle (EREV) powertrains at an identical entry price.

Customer order books open on September 24, 2026, with initial Australian deliveries scheduled for November or December 2026, pending local homologation sign-off.

Range-Extender vs Pure Electric: Real-World Efficiency

Rather than forcing buyers to pay extra for extended range, XPeng is offering its 'PowerX' range-extender at the exact same $41,900 entry point as the base Standard Range EV.

The PowerX pairs a 37.2kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack with a 180kW rear motor, adding a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol generator (rated at 63kW) solely to recharge the battery on the move. It does not mechanically drive the wheels, differing from parallel hybrid setups like the BYD Sealion 6.

On paper, the PowerX delivers 215km of pure-electric WLTP driving range and up to 1,017km of total range when the fuel tank is utilized. Official fuel consumption is listed at an ultra-low 1.1L/100km with a fully charged battery; however, once the battery is depleted, consumption increases to 5.5L/100km. In contrast, the pure electric Standard Range provides 445km of WLTP range from a 58.3kWh battery, while the Long Range pushes range to 520km via a 71.2kWh pack.
