While Jaecoo has trimmed between $3,000 and $4,000 off individual variant price tags, the discontinuation of the previous $37,990 front-wheel-drive petrol Track model means the effective starting price for the entire J7 range has climbed by $2,000. The lineup now opens at $39,990 drive-away for both the petrol Ridge AWD and the decontented Track PHEV 2WD.

The J7 currently stands as the brand’s second-best-selling model in Australia behind the smaller J5, with sales surging nearly 130 per cent over the first seven months of 2026. It competes directly in the fiercely contested family SUV sector against the BYD Sealion 6, Toyota RAV4, and the incoming Geely Starray EM-i.
