LDV Australia has significantly overhauled its decade-old T60 dual-cab ute for the 2027 model year, introducing a larger engine, fresh styling, a modernised cabin, and substantial price cuts.

Arriving in showrooms in October 2026, the MY27 T60 lineup has been streamlined to just two variants: the entry-level Pro and the flagship Luxe. With the electric eT60 and extended-tray Megatub variants discontinued for now, the new T60 Pro opens at $39,989 drive-away for private buyers—representing a $5,264 price reduction compared to its predecessor. For business buyers holding an ABN, the entry price drops further to $37,990 drive-away.

Powertrain and Real-World Capability

The headline upgrade for the 2027 T60 is the adoption of the 2.5-litre single-turbo four-cylinder diesel engine sourced directly from the Terron 9.

Producing 163kW of power at 3,800rpm and 520Nm of torque between 1,500 and 2,500rpm, the new powertrain delivers an extra 3kW and 20Nm over the outgoing 2.0-litre unit. Because the T60 is significantly lighter than the Terron 9, the upgraded model is expected to offer superior acceleration compared to both its predecessor and its newer stablemate.

This increased output makes the budget-focused T60 one of the most potent four-cylinder one-tonne utes on the Australian market, outpunching established rivals including the Ford Ranger, Toyota HiLux, Isuzu D-Max, Mazda BT-50, Mitsubishi Triton, Nissan Navara, and Kia Tasman.

The new engine is paired with an upgraded eight-speed automatic transmission and a selectable four-wheel-drive system (2WD, 4H, 4L). Official combined fuel consumption is rated at 8.0L/100km for the Pro and 8.2L/100km for the heavier Luxe variant.

Four exterior paint colours are offered: Blanc White, Metal Black, Concrete Grey, and Vivid Red. Blanc White is standard, while all other hues incur a $500 premium.
