The rest of the carryover HR-V lineup remains completely unchanged in both pricing and mechanical specification.

The introduction of the RS model capitalizes on a highly successful period for the HR-V nameplate, which saw Australian sales climb by 44 per cent over the past year. This new hybrid variant further cements Honda's transition toward fleet electrification; the automaker expects that petrol-electric hybrid models will account for more than 80 per cent of its total sales volume by the end of this year.

The Drive-Away Price Advantage Against Rivals

While a sticker price of $44,400 places the HR-V e:HEV RS at the premium end of the small SUV segment, Honda operates under a national "One Price Promise". This means the figure is a genuine drive-away price, fully inclusive of 12 months registration, CTP insurance, stamp duty, and dealer delivery charges.

This agency pricing model gives the HR-V RS a significant real-world financial advantage over its primary hybrid competitors, which advertise prices before on-road statutory costs are added:
