2027 Leapmotor B03X Price and Specs: Australia's Most Affordable Electric SUV Detailed

Leapmotor has confirmed Australian pricing and specifications for the 2027 B03X, an all-new compact electric SUV that officially undercuts the BYD Atto 2 to become the most affordable electric SUV in the country.

To incentivize early adoption, Leapmotor is offering a promotional drive-away pricing structure for vehicles purchased and delivered between October 1 and December 31, 2026. Under this offer, the base B03X Style is priced at $29,990 drive-away, while the flagship B03X Design LR (Long Range) is available for $33,990 drive-away. These promotional figures apply specifically to models finished in the standard Acorn Brown exterior paint.

Powertrain, Charging, and Real-World Range

Unlike Leapmotor’s larger B10 and C10 models, the B03X utilizes a front-wheel-drive architecture. Both variants are powered by a single electric motor paired with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs, though capacities and outputs differ.

• B03X Style: Equipped with a 39.8kWh battery, the entry model produces 130kW of power and 200Nm of torque, delivering a claimed WLTP driving range of 292km. Official energy consumption is rated at 15.5kWh/100km.
• B03X Design LR: Upgrades to a larger 53kWh battery and a 145kW motor (retaining 200Nm of torque). The larger pack extends the WLTP driving range to 382km, with a marginal consumption increase to 15.7kWh/100km.

Both models share an identical 0–100km/h acceleration claim of 8.6 seconds and a governed top speed of 160km/h.

For charging, an 11kW AC onboard charger is standard across the range. DC fast-charging limits are capped at 100kW for the Style and 133kW for the Design LR. Under optimal conditions, Leapmotor claims a 30 to 80 per cent DC fast-charge can be completed in approximately 16 minutes. Both variants feature 3.3kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, enabling the vehicle to power external 240V appliances.
