Crucially, Nissan continues its enthusiast-friendly pricing strategy: both the manual and nine-speed automatic transmissions are offered at identical price points across all grades.

Nissan Australia has officially opened order books for the refreshed 2027 Nissan Z Coupe range, with the first customer deliveries scheduled to commence nationwide in September 2026.
The headline development for the update is the long-awaited arrival of a six-speed manual transmission for the track-focused Z Nismo. This expands the Australian lineup to four distinct offerings: Z Coupe Manual, Z Coupe Automatic, Z Nismo Automatic, and the newly added Z Nismo Manual.
Pricing has increased slightly across the board, with the entry-level Z Coupe opening at $76,800 before on-road costs (up $640), while the flagship Z Nismo is priced from $95,000 plus on-roads (up $395).

Engineering Overhaul: Manual Nismo and R35 GT-R Hardware
The new Z Nismo manual pairs a short-stroke six-speed manual gearbox with an exclusively tuned driving mode. It retains the Nismo variant's uprated 3.0-litre twin-turbo petrol V6 engine tune, producing 309kW of power and 520Nm of torque—a notable gain of 11kW and 45Nm over the standard Z Coupe (298kW/475Nm).
Beyond transmission options, the Nismo models gain significant unsprung weight savings. For 2027, the Z Nismo adopts two-piece front brake rotors derived directly from the R35 GT-R supercar, paired with freshly finished calipers. This mechanical upgrade sheds approximately 9kg of unsprung mass from the front axle, noticeably sharpening steering turn-in and rotational agility.
The standard Z Coupe also benefits from chassis enhancements, receiving upgraded Nismo monotube dampers for improved road compliance and cornering composure.

Refreshed Exterior Styling and New Palette
The standard Z Coupe adopts a restyled front bumper and grille arrangement designed to improve cooling airflow and visual stance, complemented by a newly designed set of 19-inch alloy wheels.
The exterior palette is headlined by a new heritage-inspired hero colour, Unryu Green, alongside the reintroduction of two-tone Boulder Grey with a contrasting black roof.
Interior Tech and Personalisation Upgrades
Inside the cockpit, all 2027 Nissan Z models receive a newly integrated wireless smartphone charging pad, a frameless auto-dimming rear-view mirror, a fresh start-up sequence in the digital instrument cluster, and a revised intelligent key fob.
Buyers of the standard Z Coupe can also specify a Tan leather-accented interior as a no-cost option.
